Our Oakleaf Hydrangea Is In Bloom!!

Cody and I like to plant groupings of oakleaf hydrangea  with an evergreen backdrop. The leaves turn a beautiful golden red in the fall before they become deciduous.  To keep them compact you should cane prune 1/3 of the plant every year…I cut them down to the ground occasionally to keep them from becoming leggy…you may loose a bloom cycle but it is well worth it. They look so beautiful this time of year!
